
America Makes has introduced the recipients of its 2024 Ambassador Awards and Distinguished Collaborator Award at its annual Members Assembly and Alternate (MMX).
The Ambassador Award Program platforms people who’ve proven ‘excellent dedication’ to America Makes and its mission to advance additive manufacturing (AM).
The ten recipients are mentioned to have helped additional advance additive expertise, its ecosystem, and workforce improvement, and ‘demonstrated the resilience of the AM group.’
The category of 2024 Ambassadors are:

- Frank Medina, Affiliate Professor/Director of Expertise & Engagement, College of Texas at El Paso
- Marlee Rust, Enterprise Improvement Supervisor, Common Electrical World Analysis
Mark D. Benedict, Ph.D., Senior Scientist, Convergent Manufacturing, Air Drive Analysis Laboratory, was additionally introduced with the 2024 Distinguished Collaborator Award, which recognises people for his or her work constructing efficient collaborative relationships between academia, authorities, and business. Benedict serves because the Chief Expertise Advisor at America Makes and is claimed to have performed a pivotal position within the Institute’s strategic planning, defining undertaking necessities, and the choice and execution of its technical portfolio. Benedict was recognised for his ‘excellent management and unwavering dedication’ to advancing 3D printing applied sciences.
“The Institute has been pivotal in forming a Joint Providers group targeted on additive manufacturing and connecting that group with the businesses and universities in search of issues to unravel,” said Benedict. “There has at all times been such optimistic power on this ecosystem.
