Katelyn Hemmer (she/her) graduated from Carleton Faculty in 2024 with a B.A. in Political Science. Throughout her time at Carleton, she carried out an in-depth analysis mission analyzing the historical past of meals commodification, post-industrial farm fashions, and the rising social motion towards native meals programs. After commencement, she spent a yr at Earth Sky Time Group Farm in southern Vermont and is now finishing a Farmer in Coaching program on the Outdated Fort by Fort Lewis Faculty in Hesperus, Colorado. Her experiences span all the meals system, from seed to compost, together with work with farms, meals banks, co-ops, eating places, and composting operations. Outdoors of her work, Katelyn enjoys studying, making an attempt new recipes, and mountain climbing.
